Feeding the hungry physically and spiritually.
Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
John 6:35

Why do we do what we do?
It's about people.
We never get tired of commending our volunteers as they pour
themselves into the work at Bread
of Life. They receive a lot of verbal
thanks and encouragement from
clients.
Our ministry also
appreciates the written comments.
When we are described as
“absolutely amazing people”,
“kind”, “caring,” “helpful”,
“unbelievably friendly”, our hearts
are warmed. When clients note
that we are “organized” and that
we “move the line right along”, we
know we are doing our job well.
When those comments include
“lots of food”, “plenty of fresh
vegetables”, and “never any
judgement”, what we do and how
we do it seems so worthwhile.
We are a good group to work with,
and there are many different ways
to help.
Come join us!
It's about connections.
2022 was a very big year for Bread
of Life.
We paid off our building
and installed a walk-in freezer and
a generator. We give God all the
glory for helping us realize these
dreams.
However, we know He
chooses to work through His
people. We are indebted to our community for the many gifts and
grants.
It's about Jesus.
The people of Isaiah’s day were
going through the motions of
ritual and fasting. But they were
not hearing from God and they
wondered why.
Listen to His
answer in Isaiah 58:6-7: “Is not
this the kind of fasting I have
chosen: to loose the chains of
injustice and untie the cords of
the yoke, to set the oppressed
free and break every yoke? Is it
not to share your food with the
hungry and provide the poor
wanderer with shelter – when you
see the naked to clothe them, and
not turn away from your own
flesh and blood?”
He goes on to
say, “Then your light will break
forth like the dawn… then your
righteousness will go before you
and the glory of the Lord will be
your rear guard." (vs.8)
God
knows our heart. He wants sincere
love for Him to be expressed by
caring for those in need.
